I would say that what threatened MY marriage, offhand, was the straight man I was married to. But, you know, that's just me... ;)
*PS, non-heteronormative sexualities actually do kind of challenge the family as defined under a capitalist patriarchy by challenging the structures that reproduce oppression of women and the rest of the oppressively oppressed. But, you know, that's not what our dear friends the Wingnuts mean. It would be a bit above their heads, I feel. And sorry if this is excessively circuitous and/or patronising and/or just plain not-clear. I am tired, which exacerbates my bad habit of using big words to give myself a false feeling of superiority.
