Booty and the Bush
My brother is so cool! Ok, both of my brothers are so cool, actually. They are both so funny that I'm jealous and also both amazingly talented. Not that I'm biased! Work it, boys.
The brother I'm referring to in the subject line, however is B. This bro is at Houston's Theater Under the Stars (TUTS) as a dancing knife in Beauty and the Beast. He lost out for Pepper Shaker (a featured track) because some 39 year old in the chorus threw a fit over not getting it. And my bro figured that if at 39 the high point of this guy's career was going to be the dancing Pepper Shaker in BATB, he should have it and maybe his crumbly karma won't hit Brian in the rear.
Anyway, I got a text from da bro on Wednesday, and I quote:
"I just met George and Barbara Bush. I feel dirty."
And then he sent pictures! And the story, which totally made my day. Totally. And this is just vintage Brian. Check it out:
When they came back stage, I shoved my way to the front of the crowd and said, "hi. I was the dancing knife." George said, "Oh, Barbara, we have a dancing knife", and we took the picture.
