When I like the idea of something, do I take the time to understand it?
If not, can I really say I understand it?
When I like a person - or rather, my idea of who that person is - do I take the time to understand them?
If not, I only like my idea of who they are, not who they are.
In my pursuits of things I say I'm passionate about, do I take the time to truly understand them, or just chase after the idea that everyone else has put in my head for me?
That was a bit heavy.
For something different, there's a simple slogan I need to remind myself of. "Be intentional."
It's more than not half-doing something. It's starting things with a purpose, and doing them to meet that purpose.
