Buffy Season 8; Day Watch (movie review)
I just bought the final installment for Buffy Season 8. All I can say is... "wow." There's really no other way to put it.
I also went to see Day Watch last night. It was another screening, so I won't reveal anything. I'm giving props, though, to the russians who did the visual effects. There's nothing like seeing an RX-8 drive the side of a building. The creativity department worked overtime, too, with its animations and emphasis on certain words in the subtitles. It brings me to ponder if the Russian release had the same. The story itself was good, although the ending felt somewhat "led," as in a painter painting himself into the corner. I didn't see the first movie, too, so I was a bit lost at first, but it all fell into place pretty well. It reminded me a little of Underworld, but with more humor. I'd give it an A.
