Well, I survived another busy weekend. I can't even remember what I did on Saturday, except play a little Ultimate Alliance. I think I was still recovering from the 5 hours (8:00 PM - 1:00 AM) of
Killer Bunnies and pizza the night before. I do remember going to the bank at the store to apply for an LOC, which will most likely be used to help put in the pool. I vaguely remember getting an oil change at the dealership and trading in a movie for Flushed Away (gotta love the Blockbuster Movie Pass).
Sunday, I decided to get a few projects done. I finally finally finished putting in the garden. I'm sooooo happy! I finished cutting down the attic ladder, now I have to put the attic flooring in and seal the frame for the ladder. I got my fabric ready to sew for the bathroom curtains. Surprisingly, I actually had time to sit outside on the porch with my lovely wife and our neighbor, and watch the kids play in the street, while we browsed "Vacation Ownership" resorts to stay at; Las Vegas and Rancho Vistoso have HUGE pools (almost as big as
The Phoenician). In addition to that, I got to back up my friend's computer's laptop HD on my desktop (sorry for the downtime on the KF server). To end the day, our neighbors and I combined efforts to make dinner together at the house; they made the meatballs and I made the Basil Linguini and vegetables. While it cooked, the kids watched Flushed Away while my friend Brian and I played a few games of 7-ball and 8-ball.
I'm hoping to complete the curtain this week, but my friend really really wants her laptop. Anyone know how to fix a bad power receptacle on a Compaq 2110US? I would prefer just to order a new one, but Compaq/HP has service instructions. I bought a new receptacle, but it has different mounts.
