Creationism

I just read (at the Huffington page) that Gov. Palin is "open" to the idea of teaching creationism in public schools.  Add this one to her stand on abortion (never, no way and out of the question, she says) I am simply appalled that any woman in America would even consider voting for a ticket that includes her name.
I really, really do despair.  How in the hell did we come to this?  Creationism? In our schools???  Let's not even discuss how any reasonably sane person could argue in favor of creationism...  And they want to teach this bullshit to our kids?!
