Well, whaddaya know. I've been employed by the university. Research assistant for a trans-national Canada-Usa literature project. I'm in charge of ecological aspects in naturalistic and agrarian literature. Yes, I can see you yawning, please stop it.
I'm hired on a contract basis, and the fact that I was given an initial contract of 12 months worries me, because normally contracts are limited to 6 months and then simply lengthened. I'm afraid the professor has plans for me.
Well, at least the pay is decent and, the biggest perk, the research is immediately relevant to my master's thesis. If things go as planned, I'll have my MA in north American literature by this time next year.
Then I'll be...done with college. Oh shit.
