Kurt nursed his chai latte between his hands as he looked down into the foamy top sprinkled with cinnamon. He had been quiet since the visit to Mercedes church, but when she asked him to get coffee with her, he had freely agreed. He didn't have a lot of fight left in him now, and he did appreciate her effort in taking him along to something that meant a lot to her. It meant a lot they dedicated their prayers to his Dad, too. Kurt wasn't so wrapped up his own misery not to appreciate that, and he had stated as much repeatedly. He appreciated the thoughts. Hell, he yearned for more support from his friends. He just didn't want or need the religious strings attached.
He was looking out the window at the quiet Lima street passing by at its own pace outside and then he realised he had become lost in his own thoughts again. He turned to Mercedes with a small smile. "Sorry. Daydreaming. I saw this amazing Gucci t-shirt on eBay and it's enough to give me wet dreams," he joked, even if he had been thinking nothing about Gucci or eBay. Far, far from it.
