Sam still couldn't quite believe they he and Quinn had won the whole competition. He had fun singing with her, and thought they did a pretty cool job, but he couldn't admit that they were the best. He still thought Kurt nailed it, and Santana and Mercedes did a pretty awesome job, too. So, as he sat there at Breadstix across from Quinn, he was still trying to figure out how he even got there in the first place. It was a little awkward, but so far he had managed not to look around and make her think he was trying to bid a hasty escape.
He wet his lips after he took a sip of his drink and put it carefully back down on the table. "Um, I just wanted to apologise again for the whole, uh, attempted non-kiss thing. I'm pretty sure we both needed that about as much as a poke in the eyeball. Just, all-boys school... no excuse whatsoever, but I'm going to try and use it anyway. I didn't mean to come on strong or make you feel weird."
