she's twenty years of strangers looking into each other's eyes

Who: Gabrielle Waite and [OPEN]
What: The trials and tribulations of a school librarian
Where: Well, the library.
Rating: PG

She was pretty sure she had never been that loud when she was in school.  The kids didn't seen to respect the concept of a library being a quiet zone, not that she entirely relished telling them to shush either (she could see one or two kids, often ones in sports uniforms roll their eyes when she did).  Had she wanted to, she could have learned all about the kids' dramatic lives, but she didn't want to.  She wanted them to do whatever academic thing they'd come to the library for.  She was happy to help them check books out, or look for books to use in their research, but she was less happy playing babysitter.  Today it seemed worse than normal, too.

Hopefully, she'd have a task to distract her mind around the corner.
