Thanksgiving in the Sinclaire residence had gone over a little better then the Lopez's had. She'd spent a good majority of the evening cleaning up after her family and the sort. She had planned on crashing on the couch with Gizmo, the unruly Shnauzer, but her brief conversation with Santana via Facebook made her rethink her choices. Sleeping with a dog and not taking a shower before heading over to a friends house wasn't the brightest idea. So, she'd gotten her butt in the shower before she headed to bed.
Honestly, she had no idea why she decided she would head over at the ungodly hour the next day. She could have slept in and enjoyed her sleep but for some reason, at 6:30 in the morning, her alarm went off and she sleepily got herself into some pyjamas, (Because heaven know she didn't actually sleep with them on) and drove over to her friends house
Crawling up the lattice leading to Santana's window was a little more effort then usual in her hazy state. When she finally made it up the familiar, but recently unused route, she pulled open the window and climbed inside. Shivering, she quickly flung open the covers and burrowed herself under them; curling up into Santana's side and wrapping one arm around her waist. She was sure Santana had woken up from all her moving about. "It's c-cold out there." she explained.
Santana was honestly surprised Ferrari had really come over so early. Just because she was being a freak hoping so didn't mean she thought it would happen. She shivered a little when the covers were lifted off her -- it wasn't cold in the house but the breeze from outside had lingered in the room for a few minutes. She smiled to herself when she felt Ferrari curl up against her back, loving how warm she was despite the complaint about the cold. "I can't believe you're really here so early," she murmured, shifting to lay on her back and tuck her head under Ferrari's chin.
Ferrari smiled and hummed her agreement. "Me either, but Santana cuddles sounded too good to pass up." she lifted her arm a little so Santana could lay on her back before she replaced it, adding a leg draping over Santana's as she did. She sighed into the warmth and yawned. "I'm tired, but the cold woke me up." she admitted. "Gotta hate Winter." she shivered and squeezed a little tighter on Santana's body and placed a kiss to the top of her head.
"It's so bad for my tan," Santana agreed. Closing her eyes, she curled as close to Ferrari's body heat as she could. Shorts and a tank top were not really adequate pajamas for this time of year, but she'd barely been awake enough to put on this much. "You can go back to sleep," she said softly.
Ferrari shrugged, her eyes closed as she gave a brief smile. "It's okay, bonita. You can go back to sleep if you want, though." she might have to retract that statement in a little bit, though. Being warm with Santana curled into her front were good enough to lull her into her sleep again. But, she almost didn't want to sleep. She kind of wanted to stay up and just be happy like this. It had been a week since she'd ever been this content to just stay awake and appreciate what she had. She also wanted to talk to Santana, but she knew the girl was still sleepy so she remained silent and let the latina sleep if she chose to.
"No, I wanna stay up with you," Santana said. She squirmed up a little, so she was still close to Ferrari but face-to-face with her. She lifted one hand to Ferrari's cheek and smiled at her. "I missed you yesterday. I wanted you here instead of my stupid cousins." She'd wanted Brittany with her too, actually, but she'd given up tracking down the blonde outside of school, for the moment.
A small chuckle formed in her throat and she cracked open her eyes to peer down long lashes to her companion. "Is Santana Lopez getting sentimental on me?" she questioned, smiling. She didn't mind, really. She was, oddly enough, feeling quite the same. She kind of just wanted to cuddle and do things otherwise not-so-Ferrari like. "I wish I was here too. We could have pestered the twins and given Miguel as hard time." she smirked. "Like we used to."
It was too early for Santana to care about image, so she just smiled away the sentimental comment. Her smile sort of faded when Ferrari started reminding her of years past, and she started feeling like shit when "Like we used to" was tacked on. "I'm sorry," she said. "I shouldn't have been a bitch and abandoned you like that just because I became a Cheerio." She sighed, snuggling in closer. "You're pretty awesome for sticking with me after that."
A small smile formed and she shushed her friend. "Nonesense, Santana. We both made our choices. I'm just glad we can still be friends." she pulled away just enough to place a kiss on her forehead before resting her own against Santana's. She locked eyes with the other latina and was entirely serious when s he spoke. "You'll always be my best friend, Santana. Sometimes, you'll be even more then that. You've always been there when I needed you and for that I am so, so grateful. Truly I am." she smiled sweetly.
Santana held Ferrari's eyes, staying quiet and listening while the other girl spoke. She closed her eyes when her forehead was kissed and opened them again when Ferrari's forehead was against her. She worked up a small smile and sighed softly. She wanted to say something just as nice, to show how much the other girl meant to her, but there were times when Santana just sucked with words. So she decided to take another approach and pressed a soft kiss to Ferrari's lips. "Thank you," she breathed into Ferrari's mouth, kissing her harder.
She sighed when lips met hers and gave a small smile before Santana was thanking her and kissing her harder. Ever since last Friday night, she hadn't given much thought to what had happened. Ferrari was upset and Santana was there; the next morning they had acted like nothing had happened. It stayed like that for the week, but something had changed. She had come over at 7 a.m. just for the fact she wanted to cuddle with her friend, after all. And the kissing was something she, admittedly, had hoped would happen. She loved Santana; as much as a best-friend/sisters at times could. This direction was entirely different and she wasn't scared to take it. When they finally pulled apart, Jeanette pulled Santana closer and closed her eyes. "You're welcome."
Santana closed her eyes and just let Ferrari hold her. Kissing her... it did something to Santana. As hard as she tried, she hadn't been able to put what had happened between them last week completely out of her mind. She'd never considered Ferrari anything but a friend -- a close friend, something like a sister, but just a friend. But now, she found herself wanting more. She found herself waking up at stupid o'clock in the morning because there was a possibility Ferrari would be coming over at that time. She felt her heart kind of pick up speed when they were near each other. She didn't do well with this feeling. It wasn't good, it wasn't something she wanted to feel. She wanted to be the emotionless, heartless bitch she made herself into at school. Again, she found herself at a loss for words, so she just stayed silent in Ferrari's arms. Let her be the one to break the silence.
It fell silent between the two of them, both of them lost in their own thoughts and just enjoying each other's company. Ferrari's thoughts wandered back to a week ago and she shivered slightly at the memory, closing her eyes to try and block it out. She wasn't supposed to like Santana. She still loved Lucil and it was entirely too soon to get with someone else, but she couldn't help but think of the possibility. Her and Santana could talk about anything and everything together and they were practically family as it was. To add a relationship into the mix...well, why not? The only difference was that they were more intimate and they were, well, together. The latina sighed heavily and opened her eyes, contemplating for a moment before she opened her mouth to speak. "Santana?" she started, unsure of how to form her words, "What happened?" she asked simply, referring to last Friday, of course. It was a silly question, and one that probably didn't have a clear answer but she let the question sit as she fell silent again and opened her eyes to look at Santana again.
Santana's eyebrows furrowed at the question. She could guess what Ferrari meant, but she wasn't sure how to answer. "We...had sex?" she replied, her words more of a question than she'd intended. She wasn't sure if she was answering correctly, but that was what her mind went to first.
She gave a small sigh and rolled over onto her back to stare at the ceiling. Just sex, huh? She gave a sad nod and gave a half-hearted smile. "Yea, we did." she chuckled, trying to lighten to mood. "And it was amazing." she turned her head on the pillow, her hair splaying out on it as she wrinkled her nose playfully. She wasn't sure why she'd asked the question in the first place. She thought too much, sometimes. "So what were you 'plans' for today, babe?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
Santana was not stupid. She knew that answer hadn't been what Ferrari had wanted. "Hey." She took Ferrari's face in her hands. "It was amazing. Sex doesn't mean a lot to me with most people, but..." She sighed. "For some reason, with you, it did. Okay?" She kissed Ferrari lightly on the lips. She couldn't believe she'd confessed to that, but it was true. It had meant something. And that kind of scared her. (Not that she'd admit to that.) "My plans, hmm?" She smiled a little wider. "Something like this," she murmured, kissing Ferrari again. "Carina wants you to paint her nails. You, not me. She was really clear about that."
