History
Doug Williams wanted to give Hope a sibling, so he participated in a new surrogate mother program at the hospital. Little did he know that the mother that was carrying his child was none other than Rebecca North, Hope's nanny. During her pregnancy, Rebecca grew to love the baby inside her and started to dread the day where she would have to give them away. Fortunately for her, when Doug found out that Rebecca was in fact the surrogate mother, he confronted her. They both agreed to keep this a secret since she had recently married Doug's best friend, Robert LeClair. On July 5th, Rebecca gave birth to a son, whom she named Dougie LeClair in honor of his real father.
After leaving Salem with Robert and Dougie, Rebecca never had the heart to tell her son or husband the truth. She had told Robert that the baby was indeed his and let Dougie assume that Robert was his real father. No questions were asked and the three had a happy, normal life together.
Dougie would be what you consider a geek. Ever since he was able to read, he always had his nose stuck in some book and preferred that over playing sports. History and space had always interested him too. After graduating high school with honors, Dougie immediately enrolled in a decent college. There he studied history and eventually decided archeology was the best in his career track.
After college, life for Dougie was basically a breeze. He was doing something he loved, he had a great girlfriend and his family supported him one hundred percent. Unfortunately, his fantastic life was about to take a turn for the worst. It was when he was on a dig in Egypt that he was knocked unconscious due to a number of unstable walls inside an ancient room that he was currently studying. The next thing Dougie knew was waking up in the middle of the night with blood all over himself in an unfamiliar area with no recollection of who he was or what had happened.
