One Final Reminder

(I'm reposting what I wrote on Tumblr because my brain is fried.)

I’ve been tracking the AfterElton voting for Division 3 for the past two days and the McShep votes are averaging about 300 an hour.

Are there really only 300 of us out there?

Maybe only 300 who care about the silly poll, perhaps? *g*

We’re close, certainly closer than any of their other competitors in the tournament and we can be so very proud of that.

I keep reading that Destiel ‘decimated’ their competition thus far. That statement, plus my adoration of the characters of John Sheppard and Rodney McKay, has been a lot of what has spurred me on since Sunday. I didn’t want McShep to fall easily. I’m an unknown fan in this fandom; until now I’ve been mostly lurking, but this tourney lit something up inside me. The opportunity for our show, a show that was snatched away from us so unfairly, to shine in the mainstream media spotlight one more time was one I wanted to be a part of. I know it won’t bring the show back, but it might have a positive impact for David Hewlett and Joe Flanigan - publicity is never a bad thing for an actor, especially positive publicity that shows just how dedicated (and large) their fan base is.

Maybe I’m just naive. Maybe I’m just over thinking this. I’m pooped.

Right now it’s just about 8:30pm on the East Coast. Vote. Vote three more times if you can. Thanks everyone. Win or lose, we rock.
