I have made this from an image I found on the net.  Could someone please explain the origin of this silly pic?  I added the cropping, framing and text.  Enjoy! Click on Joe for the full effect of course.

Well, quite a long time ago in a galaxy not that far away (right here in LJ land in fact), I made this, followed by this, and this.

Unfortunately, I have no idea who made the one you played with. Today was the first time I've seen it.

The image was made by an artist named CorranFett, who has a deviant page here, which includes the piece (as well as the Flan as an X-fighter pilot :).

From what I can tell he used Joe's head to create a character from the books.

You might want to contact the author. Adapting work without crediting or permission is a bit iffy.

Thanks for the info. Unless the photo is copyrighted, there is no legal issue. It appeared on a simple google image search (just a Joe Flanigan search not even a Jedi search) with no credit given. I will credit him with the artwork of course.

Oh I agree absolutely. I have already tried to figure out how to contact him. DeviantArt is hiding its option for a "contact". If I can't figure it out I will post him a letter as part of the comments on the pic itself. I wanted to let him know which is why I requested that someone tell me who the artist was.
