So, the kitties have names. Kate and I settled on Lucy and Beau. I liked the name Lucy lots, and Kate came up with Beau, which I really like because he's such a pretty boy that the name seems to fit him. (I don't care if the president's dog name is Bo, it's a good name)
In other kitty news- they had fleas when I got them, not a huge shocker since they spent the first three months of their lives outdoors. So the vet gave me free fleas meds (yay vet!!) which took care of the fleas on my kitties, but since to be on the safe side, I decided to flea bomb my house cause the last thing I wanted was fleas hatching and gross-ness. I didn't tell Will about the fleas, cause it seemed like the kinda thing he'd freak out about, and he already seemed iffy on the kitties anyway. So since Will was leaving for Sweden today, and Larom isn't showing up until tomorrow it seemed like a good time to set off the flea bombs. So Will heads off to the airport around 3, Mom and I pack up the kitties and get the house set for the bombs, and set them off. The house had to remain empty for 2 hours, then I had to come back and open up windows and such for a half hour before everyone was allowed back in. So finally at around 8:30 when the it had been an hour and a half since I had opened the place up, I return to see lights on in Will's room and the kitchen...so I'm confused. Will should be in the air on the way to Sweden and Larom shouldn't be here until tomorrow. So WTF? Walk in the house and Will is there- equally confused about what the heck I had done to the house.
Apparently his flight got all kinds of delayed then rescheduled until tomorrow due to nasty thundershowers. So, had to explain to him about the fleas, he took it remarkably well, of course, he was all kinds of emotionally drained and upset that he is losing a whole day with his girlfriend. Poor boy. So yeah- lesson learned? Should I ever have another pet with fleas I shall tell my roommate and not set off flea bombs without them being aware...at least he came home AFTER it was safe to come in...it really would've sucked had he come home during the two hours when they were going off.
