THIS USED TO BE MY BLOG
I was at a meeting earlier in the week where the group was asked questions about social media. How many were on Facebook? (about half -- these were 50+ year old women). Twitter (a couple?) Snapchat? Instagram? A lot more which I didn't recognize or remember. How many have a blog? I raised my hand and said "I used to." For some reason I stopped writing and write mostly on Facebook. BTW, she didn't ask who had a webpage which went out of business and was usurped by ads for porno sights. Not sure I would have raised my hand on that.
Most of my friends here came because of my writing and not my life. My writing was definitely more interesting.
Recently I have written two cookbooks (first one was semi-incorporated in the second.) Second was for family members who were getting married (or as it turned out had been married for 50 years.) and contained lots of family history and pictures. Fun to do and sort of has spurred me to get writing. I am hoping to do another cookbook over the summer that I will print and use for Christmas gifts. I've been saying that for five or so years, so . . . .
A few people have told me they've seen my Blog -- primarily because of one post which was a memorial to a woman who deserved a great deal of memorilization and got very little.
