VOICES IN YOUR HEAD
This afternoon I was reading the alumni magazine from my Law School. You read about accomplishments (though most of my classmates are nearing retirement) and deaths. One of the obituaries was for a person I recognized though she had graduated several years after I did. I could see her, I could hear her, but I was totally unsure how I knew her.
The obvious answer was that she was involved with the Woman Lawyer's group I belonged to for several years. But the voice I heard didn't match. I was hearing the voice of an older woman I was very good friends with at that time, and she didn't like this person much.
Took a while, but I finally remembered that this woman was in a Symphony group that at the time was broken into geographic units. However, she belonged to another unit and not the one where she lived (which happened to be the one where I lived.) My friend thought she should join our unit. All became moot when she moved.
Very strange that those voices are still in there.
