In the beginning I really enjoyed watching House. I even purchased season one of DVD (it was during my DVD immersion stage and I hadn't seen many of the episodes). Then there was a time in the middle (when he struggled with the cop trying to "get" him) that I walked away. Toward the end I'd probably watch 2 out 3 episodes but found the character a bit inconsistent.
I even joined a House fan fiction group but never could write the character. Despite being told that my greatest writing skill was getting into the mind. What would ______ do? I could never guess what House would do other than be mean, stupid and then right.
Perhaps if I had written the final schedule I would have had a show where everyone on the staff was right with their first diagnosis and House would conclude that he was no longer needed and ride off . . . . .
Speaking of riding off -- my slash self keeps thinking about how much more shocking a man kiss would have made the ending. I keep putting myself in Wilson's shoes and saying "this man will manipulate the world, perhaps even kill for me, and yet . . ." Maybe it's just that you still can't do that on television.
Lots of thoughts are still flooding my head -- old slash thoughts -- which kept me from noticing that there is an add for THE LETTER Q on my blog. I am not a gay writer -- I am a slash writer. There is a difference, but it is hard to explain.
