Bones was amazing tonight. Sometimes, you get shows where there are cool characters and the mysteries suck, and sometimes you get the reverse. Which is why I so rarely choose to devote time and/or energy to a procedural. However, episodes like tonight's of Bones gives you the best of both worlds: Brennan, Zach, and Hodgins at their most quirky, and a really twisty mystery that you don't know the full truth of even up till the last couple seconds. Sadly, there was a lack of Angela. But for the most part, it was a great episode, with classic quotes like, "Even you don't want to do anything to hurt his tiny feelings," and the never-old, "I don't know what that means" - always funny when coming from Brennan's lips, no matter how many times she says it. Also, in response to a grieving mother praising her daughter's (ex)boyfriend for giving said dead daughter nice jewlery: "Anthropologically speaking, a man gives a woman a gift to mark her as his and warn away other males of the tribe." Ah, Brennan has such a way with people.
And then, of course, the season premiere of Lost, mightily ruined by the fact that it was a Jack episode. Ugh, I can't stand that man, though he did have a redeeming moment at the end. So... props to him for asking if she was happy instead of that dude's name (anyone who's seen the episode will know what that meant). At any rate... I'll probably write up a Weekly Report on that. 'Cause Sawyer and his fish biscuit were way too cute.
I have to read a lot of crap for classes tomorrow, so... bye-bye.
