I've officially given up on trying to learn an Argentine accent.
In the accent, I can say depressing spiritual things about my psychotic father (ie. the actual lines from the show), but anything else (ie. something not about angels, transcendance, faith, or Rambaldi) is far beyond me. I can do Scottish, though. "Ach, da, dunnu be injectin' me wid that there Rambaldi goo no more." :) Scottish Nadia = bad. I think there was a reason she wasn't Scottish. Although she was originally supposed to be German... "Fader, no more vis ze injektink ov ze green ztuf." Hmmm... I'm kinda glad she ended up Argentinean.
On to the exciting Alias S5 spoilers that spend my life trying to avoid.
The one that caught my that I was actually interested in (Syd, Vaughn, and this Rachel character can all just take a vacation to the Eiffel Tower and bloody well jump off the top of it for all I care) said this: "Sloane will have a moral quandry of his own when he forges an unholy alliance in his search to find a cure for Nadia's condition." Yay! Nadia is not forgotten, her father loves her! Obviously I rephrased that, because I'm the only person on the planet who actually uses the phrase "moral quandry." It also mentioned that Nadia was still in a coma. I laughed. Apparently she's busy stowing away on Emmy Rossum's latest disaster epic venture. At least in spirit, because we know that she's really in a hospital in LA waiting for daddy to save her.
Also, Weiss' exit will be "dramatic" according to GG himself. Yay! Weiss will have dramatic action! Maybe he'll die trying to save his evil zombie girlfriend...
Furthermore, if Alias goes into a sixth season, which is unlikely that it will, JG will not be coming back. *sob* She's the soul of the show! I guess they're grooming this Rachel character to be her replacement... which I do not approve of. This is the Bristow/Derevko show, people, not the Stupid Rachel Character show! Will Jack, Sloane, et. al. have reduced roles? Possibly not in the matter of lines, but certainly in the matter of emotional content. Without dear Syd, what oh what will they do? The Chinchilla, for one, will cry. Why couldn't Irina or Nadia or even bloody Katya become the main character? Alright, Irina's a badguy and therefore can't be the main character, Nadia likes Sloane and therefore can't be the protagonist since he's the antagonist, and Katya's not an important enough character to suddenly catapult into stardom. But still... do not approve of this Rachel character. I will kill her many times over in fanfiction, like no one, not even Lauren, has ever been killed in fanfiction before... *thinks evil thoughts*
To continue on a slightly cheerier thread, Sloane's not the one who's gonna kick it. As much I try to avoid really important spoilers, I'm hearing that Vaughn will go. Shock. Surprise. Angst. Get over it. He's a prettyboy who can act. Like Sark, but not British, and therefore not as cool. Also like Weiss, but without all the stupid magic tricks and therefore not as cool. And did Vaughn ever bake a cake for his evil zombie girlfriend's birthday? No! Only Weiss! Except she wasn't evil then, or a zombie, or technically even his girlfriend. I think they weren't officially dating until Sophia said they were in "Mirage" when she's all like "Nadia, invite your boyfriend to dinner, I'll cook and the two of you can keep each other occupied with much lovelorn gazing so my diabolical associate can hack into your laptop and use your APO access codes to secure my dominion over the world mwahahahahahaha!" Except she didn't quite say it like that... And Weiss and Nadia didn't do much in the way of lovelorn gazing, he was too busy complaining that Nadia never cooked for him and she was too busy complaining that he was complaining and then he was all confused about the saffron. Weiss thinks of nothing but food. Silly Weiss, how we love you.

I stayed home from work (again...) because the stomach wasn't quite up to snuff. It's getting better now, though fortunately I don't have to work tomorrow, so I have one more day to recover. Although I would not be adverse to going to Lady U's house if we just sat on the couch and watched Alias...
