Some of you may be aware that Katiria discovered a free to play MMO called Fallen Earth. Well, today she kindly invited me over to her house to play it (as it's not available for Macs), and I had quite the time creating my character, completing the introductory tutorial, and, yes, riding my horse off a cliff.
So, without further ado, let me introduce you to...
Lennox Witherington. You may be familiar with that name, if you're familiar with Awesome Timez. But this is no time-traveling serial killer, this is a kick-ass dude with a shiv.
He shivs people and then beats them with a pipe. That's his MO. He's pretty ugly, if I do say so myself (though Katiria insists he would have been uglier with a mustache). And he's blind. That's right. Those milky white eyes of his can't see a thing. And yet he's usually got pretty decent aim.
Yep, that's him, surrounded by the fallen corpses of his enemies, getting in headshot after headshot.
And that's a cool action shot of him shooting from the back of his beloved horse, Lennoxa. He rode her off a cliff one time, but hey, he's blind. Give the guy a break.
In the above cool action shot, you can almost make out the spider tattoo on Lennox's shoulder. He originally got that because he ate four dozen spiders each morning to help him get large. But then he had a fateful run-in with a coyote, and he killed the coyote. Suddenly experiencing great guilt (though not enough guilt to stop him sawing off that coyote's leg and selling it), he vowed never again to harm an animal (accidentally riding his horse off a cliff doesn't count). Repenting of his spider-eating ways, Lennox now bears that tattoo of a reminder of his previous path in life and the vow he made to atone for all the spiders he's eaten and the coyotes he's killed.
This one time, Lennox decided he wanted to ride off the edge of the map. Turns out the only thing that's out there is lots and lots of radiation poisoning.
You may have also noticed that he's not wearing any shoes. LENNOX WITHERINGTON DOESN'T WEAR SHOES. SHOES ARE FOR THE WEAK.
