I did indeed know that, and in fact I knew it since it was announced last year that Doctor Who would be on hiatus in 2009 because of his commitment to the RSC. Doubt not my fangirl thoroughness!

And I even saw a picture of him in his costume. He looks gorgeous. Black trench coats suit him well.
