OK, really??? Do the weather chimps ever look out the window?
So today is the first full day of Spring. Was dreaming about wearing a skirt to work.
Woke up and heard the rain. Groaned a little because I knew I had left my car windows open a little, since no rain had been predicted as of last night. Heard the radio forecasting rain all day, temps in the 50's later and possible evil white shit falling from the sky "in the Northwestern Burbs." No worries; I'm Northeast. Got out of the shower and the radio broadcast had changed the weather report to, "it's now sno*!$# in xyz town, so it's getting closer." ARGH. But still not my county. Went into the kitchen to get my coffee, looked out the window and there was the evil white shit falling from the sky! I wanted to stick my entire head in the coffee pot. 20 minutes later the radio report FINALLY said, "Hey, it's snowing in ABC county! And it's actually accumulating. And the temperature has been dropping for the last hour." NO KIDDING, REALLY??? So they finally looked out the window. DUH! Fortunately, not much of either rain or evil white shit got inside my car, and I brought a towel to sit on just in case. Unfortunately, the front windshield defroster doesn't work, and the precip was just heavy enough to keep visibility poor on the drive to work. OH JOY!
On the good side, I made lots of soup over the weekend, as well as the quiche, so I had good comfort food to bring to work. Also having a relatively quiet day in theoffice (she says with trepidation, as she types this during lunchtime and who knows what will happen next).
I don't know who stole Spring, but I want it back.
