More Education Dept. Woes....

So as the semester is coming to an end, the education department has been having the current juniors start to apply for student teaching. One of the requirements in to have 100 total aiding hours. I have 97.84 hours. Now let me ask a question. The education department assigns each student 3 aiding assignments, each 6 weeks in length. The education department only schedules you for 20 hours for each assignment. As a result, the education department is only responsible for assigning you a total of 60 aiding hours of the 100 that you are required. Does anyone see a problem with this? On top of that, they mandate that you can not extend you stay with a teacher beyond you assigned times. Now, how are you supposed to get those extra 40 hours?

When exactly were they going to let me know that I was short of my hours? I mean it's not like I have to have all of my hours in by January or anything....
