so today was the valley west tournament. we came in 2nd last year so we really wanted to advance higher this year by winning the whole thing. we did. it felt good to walk away from a tournament after winning it. we didn't have a very difficult bracket, but once we got into playoffs we got to show what we were made of. we played nanticoke and hazleton in playoffs. between shea and gensel running middles and all of the hard jump serves, we pretty much dominated. we practice pretty hard, soit was nice to see the whole team come together. the final match was against north pocono. they were pretty confident that they were goin to win being as they are the number 2 ranked team (we are number 3). they started off strong, but then we just started puttin the kills down and servin at them. we ended up winning pretty big in two straight games. coach was real happy so hopefully this is indicative as to how our season will be.

we didn't get out of there til 7:30 and i'm pretty beat. peace :D
