The three-peat wasn't to be and Kolkata were deserving champions, but I was thoroughly proud of my boys for fighting till the finish. In the end, those 10 runs we failed to get at the death made the difference. Still, we shouldn't have even qualified for the playoffs. We nearly made the most of our second life. Can't wait for next year's edition.

Haha that's as brilliant a reason to support a team as any I've heard before! With the exception of IPL2 & 3, they've not really set off any volcanic eruptions (sorry, just had to...), but there's always next year!

Oh yes, congrats on the promotion!!! What a shootout that must've been, couldn't believe it when I heard about it the next day. Although why you guys ever let go of Clark, I'll never know! I remember listening to a programme on Radio 5 Live at the beginning of the season (during your wonderful unbeaten run) where the Huddersfield chairman was being interviewed as a model of how a proper club should be run, in which the manager had the full faith of the chairman etc etc. A club with modest ambition, good financials etc. And then he was dismissed! At least it didn't derail the season...
