30 Years Since the Falklands War began

I wasn't alive then but I first heard about it through my parents who were living here at the time. Mum remembered it well because it started less than a couple months after her arrival here, following her marriage to dad at the end of January in India. In deference to those who lost their lives on both sides of the conflict I shall refrain from weighing in with my views on the issue now, however one of these days I will hopefully/eventually get around to doing so. It's an interesting issue.

(* Hanrahan was one of dad's favourite reporters during his time here in the 80s and even I have vivid memories of him on BBC World during the 90s in Oman).
