Help! F$*k!

All my bookmarks in Firefox have suddenly disappeared and they're not to be found in any of the profile folders!!! I had over 500 bookmarks and it'd be pretty devastating to know they're gone forever... :(

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out!

I've never bothered with bookmarks. If I really need a URL, I email it to myself and store it on an online server.

Five hundred is too many anyway. It's good for you.

Should be in a file called bookmarks.html

Only the default profile folder remains in the Firefox directory. The modified profile with all the bookmarks has just disappeared. Worse still, there's a patch for Firefox to backup your bookmarks in case such a thing were to take place which possibly means this was always on the cards. B#*#@#s!
