So last night it happened...The Curse of The Bambino was broken. The Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years w/a sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals. Oh man, I cannot believe it. I seems like yesterday we were down 3 games to none to the Yankees. Only to manage to come back and take 4 straight and then take the next 4 games to make it 8 straight. What else can be said about this awesome playoff run? I mean, players stepped up when they needed to namely Mark Bellhorn and Johnny "Jesus" Damon. And even though Schilling destroyed his ankle against the Angels he had this history making procedure to insure that hecould pitch on schedule and I think this picture says it all.
K ALS is short for Strikeout Lou Gehrig's Disease. But just the face that he delivered to mamazing performances on an ankle that is obviously in pain makes this win that much more amazing. It's still sinking in but I'm still so fucking excited that the Red Sox took it and ended that ridiculous curse. So to the Yankees and their legions of fans i got two words for ya:
SUCK IT!!
