next year make shift wedding
well, im officially married as of aug 30. it was not a very emotional day. we went to shins parents which was nice. i love his parents (mine now!) i love his moms home cooking and after signing the papers, they took us to a really nice restaurant with a view of a garden and kashiwara castle in the back ground very pretty. : ) the sashimi was also excellent and the an nin tofu was yummmmmm. the actually signing was very non romantic and tiresome. it took forever because shins parents wanted us to change address to there house, and it was a long process because im the first foreigner to get married in the village. that and as we were waiting, shin got a stomach ache and spent 30 min in the bathroom so that made things take even longer so we didnt get to visit the graves or visit grandma. i wanted to visit grandma cause she isnt going to last much longer and i wanted to show here that her last grandson got married. she still remembers me which is yey. she doesnt remember shins bros wife well or his son, but she likes me. hahaha!
anyhoo, the ring exchanged with friends when everyone was here was fun as hell! but i would like to have a mini ceremony at least so i can show mom. she was very depressed that she couldnt be part of everything.. i want her to be too. we will have another dinner party when shins moms relative in oct, but mom gets nothing. so next year when we go home, im going to have a party with friends and family from the state. it wont be extremely formal or expensive, but just something were we can all celebrate and dress up in a big dress. so, i need some fun ideas. i dont want to spend alot of money, but instead, have lots of fun things to do with less formal fuss and fancy shit.
of course, some flowers and catering, with a lemon cake and booze. we will have it at the community center across from moms house. we can rent it out for less than 50$ YES!

it cool cause although i wont get a big wedding and all the fuss, i get to have pics of a western style and shins mom insists we have pics done here so we decided to get pics of us in japanese wedding gear. awesome! hey, as long as i dont have to pay, why not?
