Autumn Extravaganza Guidelines Post Yay!
We want this to be low-key and fun and relaxing, so we’re trying to keep it fairly informal while at the same time ensuring that everyone who joins us gets something-hopefully this will help us do that! It might look long, but really it’s pretty straightforward-basically, leave prompts and get shiny things!
1. everyone who signs up and offers prompts is agreeing to make/write/draw/create at least one thing for someone else in return.
2. prompting! reply to this post with your prompts in the comments:
2a. you may list up to 4 prompts (you can do fewer if you want) by Friday September 20
2b. we humbly suggest that prompts can be autumn-themed (crunchy leaves, holidays, chilly weather, back-to-school, scarves and fluffy sweaters) but they do not have to be! McFassy of all flavors, including character pairings, is welcome.
2c. on Monday September 23 we will put up the masterlist of prompts, and claiming can begin! See point 3 below.
3. claiming! Here’s how it’ll work:
3a. leave a comment on the masterlist of prompts (anonymous comment or not, up to you) with the number of the prompt you want and whether you’re doing fic or art or sculpture or interpretive dance.
3b. for the first round of claiming, you may claim as many prompts as you like that were submitted by different people, but not two from the same person-this will hopefully ensure that everyone gets something.
3c. if/when we know that everyone’s getting at least one thing, then the second round of claiming can start-go nuts and claim whatever you want. (We will make an announcement, don't worry.) At this point, multiple fills for one prompt, multiple fills for one cluster, and anything else you feel like will be fine! The more the better, really!
3d. no word count or size limit or anything for fills. No stress.
4. deadlines
4a. to avoid too much overlap with all the holiday fests in other fandoms, we’re saying: try to be finished by Monday December 9. As this date gets closer, if a lot of people are having trouble, extensions could happen, but for now, let’s go with that.
4b. if you have to drop out, please let one of us (shayzgirl, luninosity) know as soon as possible so that we can let other people play with that prompt and ensure that the prompter still gets something.
4c. we’ll be making an AO3 collection when the prompt list goes up-please post your work there (if you haven’t posted to a collection before, ask us, and we’ll help!) and also post it or a link to it on the mcfassy LJ comm.
