And all the jazz...

So as I am writing this, I am axiously awaiting a phone call from Chris Bush who is directing Chicago at the Geneva Smith Opera house. Yes, thats right, I auditioned for Chicago. Of all musicals, especially for me. I was casted, at FLCC, in Dracula, as the grand female understudy so if something should happen to one of the three girls casted, I step in and God willing this will not happen. Anyways, I was told to "step out of my box" which apparently means that I appear to live in a world of butterflies, rainbows, and zoos. (Ohhhhh I'm such the kidder). So all of a sudden I have this stroke and when I woke up, I was in Geneva with my stomach in knots auditioning for Chicago.

I still don't know how this happened. And wouldn't you know? I was called back.

Calls back were so much fun. Chris (director), Jessica (Musical director), April (choreographer) and Christina (stage manager) are all fantastic, fun, awesome, talented people and I am so excited to have this opportunity to work with them. Everyone gets in so I know I am in the show but the whole irony of this escapade is that I was called back to be considered for Roxie and then by the time the call backs were over I was on the wire for Velma. This is unreal people. For anyone who knows me, I know you're all like "You've got to be kidding" but I kid not. I am honestly hoping to be one of the Merry Murderesses and be featured in Cell Block Tango which would be so awesome. Of course though in that tiny corner of my heart, if they called and said Roxie or Velma, I would be packing up and moving to Cloud 9 and probably staying there for quite awhile.

Why won't they call?!?!?

Twelfth Night auditions are next Weds and Thurs and I am very much looking forward to it. I think its going to be a great show, featuring some fantastic talent and I am also excited about working with the Wonderous Double W's (Wikitwitze and Woijeck neither name did I spell right, ah well). I have a lot of fun ideas about how I want the show to be themed and how to get all peoples involved to enjoy the greatness of Shakespeare. The play is hystarical and has so many great parts. I forsee an excellent time and learning experience had by all.

Is there a reason why my phone is not ringing? I will not read into this and I will not throw up. ugh AGONY!

Oh, contest. I need the PERFECT kick ass name for my fantasy football team so if you have any ideas let me know and the winner gets. ..ummmmm . . .cookies. Good ones I promise. it'll be fun!

I will probably update later today with news of some sort. Yippee!
