When Insanity is the best thing going on
Ok so life is nuts but really, why have it any other way? Here are some things I very much enjoyed about today
Costume hunting in Lyons with Michael and Jen C. Jen is adorable, talented, and just an all around awesome person. She's also hysterical as Lucinda. I am so glad to have her in the cast. And the costumes we found today are beautiful if I do say so myself. We are insanely lucky, times a very large number.
Set/Paint shopping with Katie S. And Lew the paint guy. He sure does know his paints and such. Katie and I never knew there was so much information about paint out there in the world. It was a grand learning experience.
Working on the set with Peter, Jason, and Carrie. Really, for the dork theatre...umm...dork, nothing is better than doing something for a show, while listening to showtunes and talking about the dumbest things in the world. Its a very la de da isn't the world great type of thing.
Much to do tomorrow and in the next couple of weeks to come but I have a good feeling that it will all be worth it. I think in the end that no matter what, it is a testament to the casts talent and determination that with all of the road blocks thrown in their way, the curveballs shot at them, an idiot of a director trying to help them pull it all together and every unlucky thing anyone could imagine happening, happening, they have made this possible. Peoples, you don't want to miss this. Come see the show! You will have fun!
And we need your money. Rights are costly, you know.
So yeah Into The Woods August 13th and 14th at 7pm at the Lyons Central School. There is also a production of Suessical going on ummmm somewheres I can't remember but check that out. Show Boat at Merry Go Round (hooray Randy!), and Dreamscape, a Stephen Schwartz review, in Webster August 6th and 7th I do believe. Plus, I am sure many many more. Support Community Theatre!!! These kids have been working so hard all summer and they deserve everyones support and applause.
