look at me adulting

It's been so long since I've used LJ that I locked myself out 3 times and when I finally gave up and had my password reset, I'm probably going to lock myself out again soon because the new password requirements are ridiculous. (Just slightly less odious than requirements for the CIA website, where I applied for jobs that one time I was delusional that I could make it with the feds.)

Look! I'm writing in paragraphs that don't involve me referencing a sampling plan, or a guidance, or some site investigation report some consulting firm slapped together - e.g. "The arsenic levels in the soil at the Site are below DTSC-modified EPA Regional Screening Levels. No remedial action is recommended." and so it goes.

The UI of Livejournal looks like it improved over the years. I'm impressed. Why can't this happen with Tumblr? Why does that site become less functional over time? Why are we all still slaving away on it?

(I have fallen faster and faster out of fandom and I feel quite good about it. Only Person of Interest is really tethering me, at this point.)
