Friday meta...something a little different!
Hey guys, Dommi here with your Friday meta for this week.
Last week we discussed the concept of hegemonic ideology in Star Trek. The consensus seems to be that yes, it is a key player in the Trek universe. We may revisit it sooner.
This week, in honor of Valentine's day (yes, I know it's passed, but the candy is still on sale so it counts), I want to ask something a bit more light-hearted and simple.
Basically, we all love the Kirk/McCoy and/or Chris/Karl pairings here. (Obviously.) So what draws you to them? What makes Jim and Bones your OTP? Is it the obvious depth of their friendship? Or is it something more? Or even is it just that you like how Karl and Chris look together?
There are lots of reasons to ship these two characters/men together. I want to hear some of the specific reasons though. Just for fun!
