Modpost 2: Electric Boogaloo
So, we've got a few members. Now it's time to get more!
If any of you have any suggestions on where I can pimp this community, please feel free to share them. I figure newtrekslash is a given, but I'm kind of clueless as to where else I should publicize this community. I'm thinking about pinging the jim_and_bones people to see if they want to be affiliated.
One of the main things I want in this community is transparency. My policy for moderator actions is thus: the person will be PMed before any action is taken in a polite and easy-going manner. If the action involves deleting or editing a post, that will be taken only after the person has been PMed. No moderator actions will be taken publicly except in extreme cases such as people fighting in a comment thread. Transparency is what I want, and if you guys have any ideas on how to help with that, I'm all ears.
The other main thing I wanted to know is...what do you guys want to see? What can we do to foster a sense of community here and make you guys want to post to mccoy_and_kirk? Do you want challenges? Party posts? Meta? What do you guys want here?
I also plan on having an open-door policy. My inbox is open to you guys 24/7, so please don't hesitate to drop me a line if something comes up that you want to see here.
