Summary: “This looks like some sort of ritualistic marriage chamber,” Nyota said, skimming the hieroglyphs. “Marriages consummated here were considered blessed by the gods.”
Leonard stepped closer, his foot giving in the floor slightly. The tile beneath his foot cracked and he moved to another tile, only to have the stone splinter under his foot also. “Not well built, is it?” he commented.
Jim turned to him, the grin sliding off his face in the instant Leonard felt himself start to drop.
Author's notes: Written for the spring fling challenge for the prompts: McCoy and Kirk being competant officers but broken in relationships. Hopefully it fills.
