So I'm lying in bed, watching Once Upon a Time, and I'm not even watching a recent episode, okay, I'm watching Snow Falls, when it suddenly occurs to me that...

What IF the Stranger really is the author of Henry's book? I know there are theories that it was Gold's book, but just work with me for a second here.

What if the Stranger is the author, ( Read more... )

I'm not usually the person to guess, but if he's really that author, then bring it on! It would totally bring new dimensions to the whole show (and more seasons...).
However, there's equal chance of ending up with us (the fandom) permanently losing our jaws ( :O ) and developing a flailing syndrome (in the fan!girling sense) but elso end up watching in order to see how f*cked up our beloved show can become. X( *shudders in the thought*

I admit this premise looks promising but it would take tremendous amount of talent for the writers to pull it off. There's only so much they can do with the existing fairytales and digging up tales that no one really knows won't do the trick. They are going to have to come up with something (if they haven't already), it may as well be that.

Personally, I don't like to guess, I just sit and enjoy what I have and take it one episode at a time (preferrably the one that has just aired). XD

I like to speculate and pick my brain from time to time in trying to predict what's going to happen. It actually only serves to hype me up even more for the next episode.

If he were the author and if he did rewrite a scene, etc, assuming he even has the power to do so, to change everything, then there would be a ton of new possibilities. Lots of different directions they could go what with exploring alternate time lines. It would take talent, and I know they have that, but it would also take heaps of money and far more intricate plot.

I didn't like the latest episode. >_> Not really, it's one of my least faves, I only enjoyed the Regina/Queen parts and Mary and David at the very beginning (because that Valentine card exchange was a total FAAAAIL.) -_-;

Well, I tend to get really caught up in the guessing game with usually very disappointing consequences... x( Obsessive obsession is too much for me sometimes. XD

Not to mention that it would add a new level on which Emma would have to function and try to keep some balance.
I wouldn't worry for the heaps of money... with all the reputation and the numbers the show it's hitting in such times, I think it would be a great investment. =D
The 'far more intricate plot' is a very real cause for reasonable concern.

I'm really sorry to read you didn't like the last episode!
I loved the concept that the Beast was Rumple. =)
The Valentine card might have been an utter FAIL from the MM/D perspective but I found it pretty realistic and Storybrooke has to be that (shit totally happens!)... we are a long way from a happy ending for these two. I found it fitting, I guess. If they got -formally/officially- together in the 12th episode, I'd be disappointed. Not to mention that Regina has to "take care" of these two, too. XD *chuckles*

The lic' plate on his bike reads KANSAS '84. which means to me he's been there the whole time and is a FairyTale character. I don't think he can rewrite history, so I think he is there to write "Once Upon A Time", VOL II. All that has happened in Storybrooke from the "crossover" till now, has yet to be documented. If he's one of the Grimms or OZ (although, OZ was from Omaha, Nebraska) and he's there to write anything ...it's got to be VOL II. and beyond....

I like this idea.

Though. I'm so distracted by the fact that that guy is in Covert Affairs that I automatically think he's a spy -.- *lol*

I understand there's some hate toward the Stranger character? I've not really kept up with fandom because I was a few episodes behind (have caught up now though *g*) and I quite like the fact he's around. Even if I would prefer the Sheriff (I will be a bitter fangirl until the end).

O.o to have that power would be awesome, it could undo that shitty excuse for b&tb (I'm still bitter))

No I'm a b&tb fan but that episode was utterly wasteful and annoying! I hate TW ship it introduced AND the fact they cut out Archie AND ignored the fact Ashley was 19!!! That episode does NOT exsist to me. It was a shit show

Funny. I kind of assumed the Stranger WAS the author from the beginning. xD

I think it was because I watched a spoiler-y episode of, um, Spoiler Alert BEFORE I saw the actual episode of OUaT, and they were all speculating that he was the author of Henry's book and it just stuck.

If the Stranger just ends up being some random bloke just to stir the pot / be a love interest for Emma now, I might actually be really, really disappointed. Since I kind of really expect something out of his character now.
