2. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.
Superman:
My all-time favourite superhero. I guess that's not saying much, because of the versatility of his character; in the right hands, he's capable of amazing profundity. In the hands-that-are-on-LSD-hey-man-it's-the-60s-whooooooo, he's just the
craziest crazy lulzy crack ever. He's
anything you want him to be. Hero or
villain, nice bit of vintage 75 cent
fun for an afternoon walk or a mind-expanding
masterpiece. It doesn't hurt that you're given gems like
this, either. Oh, Luthor. Never stop gaying.
Philosophy:
I just think about what most people don't have the time or energy or motivation to. It gets damn annoying for the people around me, but I only bring up questions that need to be asked. Take it or leave it.
Watchmen:
This is seriously excellent writing; this is visual storytelling on a very high level. Every panel carefully planned down to the smallest detail. Not a single word wasted. The Alan Moore-Dave Gibbons power team created a whole new genre and mastered it, straight off, with Watchmen. Tight narrative, moral ambiguity, a gripping yarn. I really can't ask for more.
It's good to see that after so many years, the British still have it.
Sculpture:
A relaxing thing to do between classes. I'm more easily frustrated by it nowadays, because I'm getting better with 2D, but it remains by far the most rewarding, for me.
Bof:
A bit of French fun. I never expected to make friends over a language, but I have.
And a bonus Eddie Izzard:
Check his stuff out. No, seriously. .... You're still here. I can see you. Youtube, right now. Surely a comedian who's earned the title of the 5th Python merits your attention. His is pure, unmitigated genius. Stream-of-consciousness style rambling, and trust me, you want to know what's going on his head.
Go!
