So anyone out there have any experience getting a USB to Serial adapter to work with Vista 64-bit. I would like to be able to connect my GPS units (old Garmin etrex and GPSMAP 76) to my Vista machine so I can up/download data from them. I tried the Dynex piece of crap form BMust-Buy and it didn't work with the drivers it came with an several others I tried from various source. My other option is to dig out my old Pentium 133/Win 95 machine and hope it powers up. The kicker there is getting the new GPS updates onto that machine with a floppy drive and no USB port. I am not sure I can even get that machine to talk to my router??? Probably have to burn the data to a CD and move it that way
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
