I just saw a Cornell production of The Skin of Our Teeth. It was very good, and I'm tempted to say it was better than the Murrow one, if only for the fact that they played "Life During Wartime" right before the third act, which takes place just after a war. They also played "Wake Me Up When September Ends," as the play ended, which I found quite hilarious.
There was also a naked fat man onstage for a split second at the end of the second act when they're all sinning, which was funny.
In other theatrical news, the play I'm in is next weekend. We're nowhere near ready, but it'll come together. At least I hope it will.
And the staged readings of Five More Minutes, as well as those three other plays, draw ever near. Once again, they're May 20th and 21st. I'm ever so excited about them. Everyone should come.
So, in sum, in my hiatus from livejournal I've become the fruity theater kid I was in high school again. That cool rockerwas just a passing phase. I'm a theater geek again.
I'm just kidding.
I was never a cool rocker.
