McAbby Hiatus Re-watch!
Hi, McAbby shippers! Hope your hiatus is going well, even though it's painful for us all. My name's Jessica and I'm the new mod for the community. I have been for awhile, but my "real" life got busy and hectic, and I couldn't really come up with an idea to reboot the comm. Well, now I have an idea, and I'd love to hear your thoughts:
MCABBY HIATUS REWATCH 2011
Here's how it would work!
-This week and next week, members of the community would vote on episodes they would like to re-watch. This will be done through a text-entry poll. The votes will be tallied and a schedule will be set up, probably in order of the original air date of the episodes.
-Each week, beginning Sunday, June 5, 2011, will bring a new episode. You can choose to re-watch the episode at any time during the week. A general discussion post will go up each week with the name and episode number, and a place for members to discuss the episode in the comments.
-After the general discussion post goes up, members are encouraged to post fics, icons, banners, artwork, fanmixes, etc etc, all focused around that episode.
-The process will repeat itself each week for fifteen weeks. We'll stop just short of the Season 9 premiere in case we hit some bumps in the road.
Things to note:
-We will include episodes from any episode up to and including season 8 if they are voted on. However, we will not provide download links. There will be no sharing of download links in general discussion, either. If you want to seek them out on your own time, that's your business, but we won't provide them here.
-The episodes you vote for don't have to be strictly McAbby related or have very specific McAbby moments (for example, 3x21 "Bloodbath" has very specific McAbby moments, but the scene in Abby's lab in 4x10 "Smoked" is more subtext). It's all about what will generate enthusiasm and discussion.
-If you post a fic, we ask that you use a header with all proper warnings and spoiler information. If you link anything to another journal, the journal you link to must be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. If these rules are not followed, your post will be deleted.
