It's official - my sifu's going to up my training schedule to get me ready for the
10th Annual Wushu Championship held on May 23-25 here in Central FL. Why the up in my training schedule - he said that I can register for the 'Advanced' level competitions. ;_;
Not only that, but he's also going to register me for the 'Grand Champion' route. That means that I must do at least 4 different forms and for me to get 'Grand Champion', I must get the highest average for all my events out of anyone there. In other words - win all my events.
I've been training for nearly three years now but this is my first tournament...:nervous:
2 hours a day/ 6 days a week from now until the last week before the tournament where I get to take it easy and rest up.
As of right now, these are the forms I'm choosing from to compete in:
1) Chang Quan aka Long Fist (1989 vers.) -
vid 2) Dao Shu aka (Northern) Broadsword Form -
vid (not my form)
3) Gun Shu aka Stick Form -
vid (similar but not same as the one I'm doing - this one has the advanced moves - I'm just finishing learning this one) and... either
Nan Gun Shu aka Southern Stick Form -
vid -or-
Nan Quan aka South Fist -
vid (yes, this is a chick)
