After letting some family drama settle this morning, a few of us went out to Bosquesito to check something on my grandmother's property. I realized I'd never shot a rabbit and I wanted one, so my cousin PJ and I cased one around in flurries and freezing temperatures for a while. The rabbit outsmarted us.
We're heading back to Carlsbad tomorrow. I'm not sure what the roads will be like, but we haven't heard anything about that part of the state, so I'm guessing it's not bad.
