Going to the bathroom at work.
We've all been there. You feel more comfortable going to the bathroom at home. But, sometimes, you just HAVE to get over it and go to the bathroom at work. I used to seek out the most quiet, empty corner in the school to do my business. But, then I kinda got over it and now just go in the teacher's lounge bathrooms.
Well, today was a day that I had to use the teacher's lounge bathroom. Went down, business as usual, all turned out well, but there was a really weird sound that started near the end (I thought it may have been the pipes). I put myself together, washed my hands, and walked out. Got past the concrete stairwell and realized it was the FIRE ALARM!!! And the halls were deserted! Inside the bathroom, it didn't sound like an alarm AT ALL. Luckily, I was able to sneak out with the LAST 4 people to exit the building...my co-workers all knew where I went, so they were cracking up when I made my way over to them. Dammit. lol
The one situation I never wanted to be in was to be stuck in the bathroom during a bomb threat or fire alarm evacuation. And today it happened...such is my life. All I can do is laugh about it now. I wonder if I'll recognize the sound should it ever happen again? Hmmmmmmmmm....
And with that, I end another week of my life. However, this upcoming week is a 4-day week for me since I get to fly to Dallas on Thursday night to engage in graduation festivities for 4 days in honor of my friend, Ben. He is getting his business (management) degree from UNT in Denton. It will be a great time because I'll ALSO get to pick WHICH puppy is going to be mine! I don't get to bring him home until the end of January, but at least my friend can keep taking pictures of my doggie. Time is going tooooooo slow! Although, Christmas DOES seem like it snuck up on us rather quickly. Don't you agree?
I'm ready for warm temps again - gotta wait til Monday!!
