I've been a bit under the radar as of late due to work and personal issues, but I thought since I have a few moments here this seemed like a nice idea. I keep having these really lovely people add me and I know they can't possibly really know much about me so maybe they will see this and realise I'm not just some stodgy old British gent. It's also a bit intimidating being the first one to do this but... oh well.

"The Basics"

1. Where do you live? I live primarily in Hammersmith, west London. My family and I have homes in New York and Warsaw as well, but London is Home.
2. When is your birthday? 16 of January. I'll be... older.
3. How long have you been at MBP? Since September of 2008
4. AIM Name - captainslow63 but please let me know if you add me as my list is locked and I'm often unavailable or away ( ... )

I should've thought of Stephen Fry to be stuck with in the lift. He has experience with such matters.

He's well rounded and technologically savvy as well. I figure he might even find us a way out!

AND he'd bring his iphone and we could play annoying games with each other. Or at least see who else is on grindr.

I've never ever thought of you as stodgy, you seem very hip and cool. Thanks for reminding me of Doctor Who! I need to catch up, I stopped when Rose left, and I haven't seen any Doctor #9 episodes either, though I've seen some old Tom Baker and Peter Davi(d?)son ones. I love David Tennant, I think he's amazing. And Chopin! I like classical music, too, though I don't know very much about it. This is my favorite Chopin piano nocturne, Op 9 No. 1 in b-flat minor. I have a whole zip full of his nocturnes if you're interested. I'm not familiar with a lot of the bands you listed, so I'll be looking for their stuff to listen to. I've wanted a convertible for a long time, and now I want to learn how to fly, too! I went skydiving for the first time last week and it was beyond awesome. Thank you for reminding me of Stephen Fry. I've read a couple of his books and I want to read more, he's absolutely brilliant. Thanks for posting this, and for going first!

Me? Hip and cool? Oh you ARE my favourite! I think you should definitely catch up on Doctor Who and then befriend the brilliant attsmith and karensheila because they are lovely. Karen especially has become a good friend to me. All the classic Who are good too, but I'm particularly fascinated by Stephen Moffat's writing. If you check the newest series of Who, and like it, I suggest his mini series Sherlock, a modern retelling of the Sherlock Holmes persona. I've also had a love of Bach and at university I would have played nothing BUT Bach yet I had a teacher who resolutely taught me to enjoy other composers as well. My significant other adores Chopin and I've many many cds transferred finally to my ipod but thank you for the offer. I'm particularly enamoured of Raindrop due to Christopher's playing of it constantly. Of all the music I'd recommend, though, please check out the lads in Editors (http://www.youtube.com/user/editorsofficial) and I don't just say that because ( ... )
