Wading in the Pit
Maybe it is just me, but I have some to believe that the IQ and quality of fiction over at the pit takes a severe nosedive over the summer. Now, I know it is never the paragon of literary genius, but it seems that all the fics as of late are all in text speak or bear no recognition of the rules of grammar whatsoever! I will freely admit that I sometimes use a , when I should use a ; or I get agitated over remember if it is correct to "Capitalize" or "not" in dialog. I will also freely admit that I do suffer from the affliction known as summer brain. BUT, I hate that horrible tweeny-boppers* ganked up on Spike or USA or TNT marathons of primetime in the daytime decide to take over ff.net in order blather about online and burn my eyes with their horrible swill. Please keep it for your bedazzled, glitter gel pen Trapper Keepers**, would you?!
Other rants, don't PM me telling me you like my work but don't ever review and then ask me for help on your story! Also, if I update a story marked on hiatus after you have been bugging the hell out of me to do so, drop me a line, would you? I know I might seem greedy in this, but it was like a gift, OK?
*Yes, there are some early teens that can write well. I usually don't read them though
