it is officially my mom's birthday
ha. oh yes. midnight on July 11th, 2006.
So my brother comes up here with an idea to surprise my mom at midnight (this was about 15 minutes ago). He gets some wine glasses and pours white wine in them and grapejuice for my dad (he doesn't drink alcohol at all). He comes up here gets some candles. He puts strawberries in the wine glasses, little strawberries for me cuz i'm the littlest lol, and puts it all on a tray along with this pretty vase that had a rose in it. We walk in to their room and begin lightly singing happy birthday to my mom. she and dad wake up kinda droggy and confused, and halfway around my mom's bed my brother drops the vase with the flower which falls and shatters with a crash and an even louder "oh shit" as the proccession comes to an immediate halt. We're all kinda scrambling to fix things and my parents barely know what's going on. After a long pause of silence my dad is like "don't let Corbin (his pride and joy (a dog)) step on the glass cuz he will" and mom is still looking at us like 'what the?' my sister and I are giggling, my brother rushes to find a towel. After cleaning it up and apologizing, we walk back into the kitchen, and the only words that I felt fit that experience perfectly were...
