Why are Japanese kids cleaning toilets?

There's a rumor going around that if you visit Japanese elementary schools right now, you may find some of the kids cleaning toilets. Not as punishment, they're doing it on their own

jeez. i can't imagine anyone wanting to clean a toilet :S

Motivation! I think part of what the song is saying is that no one really wants to clean a toilet -- but you do it for other reasons. Beauty, cleanliness, etc. You want your family to be healthy. So... there's a goddess in the toilet.
