Very true -- although I'm not so sure how ephemeral it is? It seems as if almost anything that is put up digitally is kept forever -- even if we don't want it to be? But it is certainly true that the number of people writing (in blogs, social networks, and whatnot) is enormous and growing, whether the professional publishing circles want to recognize them or not. Good point.
